Hildibrand Manderville would have been a really interesting card to see in the main set, at least mechanically
Love this in midrange and blink with the massive number of bodies with ETB triggers
Gaining protection from everything causes a spell or ability on the stack to have an illegal target if it targets you
Whomever was responsible for choosing these cards had a monumental task and did a really incredible job
With so few ways to do that in Magic, it is a fairly reliable strategy
