mtg card types types? : r/mtg What are the Magic Frames
Description
You can think about it in decks like Teysa Karlov where you sacrifice creatures but also take advantage of tokens, like with the afterlife mechanic
BrandMagic the Gathering

Each of these decks comes with 99 cards, a foil Commander card, 10 double-sided tokens, and a Life Wheel

While many of them would be interesting spaces to explore and delve into from a design perspective, they're still only filled with untapped potential (at least, at the time of writing)

If lethal damage is dealt to a creature that has been granted the listed ability by Requiem Monolith's ability, the granted ability will still trigger
In regards to DnD I would have loved this aura to lose some toughness per damage taken to be more in line with the actual spell in the game (and to give it a chance in draft/sealed to be removed by swinging into it rather than having to wait for someone to remove the actual aura or creature)
