Everything you and your partner need to know from the comfort of your own home.

This workshop is really practical and informative. We go through all the stages of labour, what breathing techniques & yoga positions can help each one, How to deal with interventions, pain relief options, massage, and acupressure points to help you through these stages, how your partner can be useful and what happens when your baby arrives!

It’s €150 and this includes a booklet with everything you need in it and some delicious refreshments 3pm to 6:30pm

This includes a 90 min workshop online, the antenatal booklet by email. We go through all the stages of labour, all the positions and breathing techniques to help each one, interventions, pain relief options, how your partner can be useful and how to stay as active and positive as possible. We will go through a little bit of postnatal and breastfeeding advice as well.

AnteNatal Birthing workshops are to empower you and your partner throughout late pregnancy, the birth process and what to expect when your baby arrives.

This workshop is ideal for women in their last trimester and their partners. It gives you both an idea of what to expect in hospital, how to cope with and relax in the different stages of labour and how to feel empowered no matter what birth you have.

What to expect

The Ante Natal Birthing workshop includes:

  • The last few weeks of pregnancy and what to do if you are overdue

  • Packing your hospital bag – the essentials to bring with you.

  • Maximise time at home before going in to the hospital.

  • The anatomy and physiology of birth and the different stages of labour.

  • How to use breath, relaxation and visualisation in labour to tap into your pain relieving hormones and reduce any stress in hospital.

  • How to relax and move into different labour and birth positions.

  • Interventions, the benefits and risks and how to stay positive and active throughout them.

  • The Partners role – ideas to support and encourage your partner through labour and how to feel useful!

  • Massage for labour

  • Connecting with your new born baby and feeding options.

The workshop includes book of handouts and refreshments.

What you’ll need

Up to 2kg weights in each hand, you could use food cans or oil/water bottles.

A yoga mat if you have one.

You’ll need a comfortable, quiet space with a counter top or chair.
