Baby Massage

Baby massage is a wonderful way to learn how to massage and connect with your baby and it has amazing benefits for everyone involved. From bonding with your baby to inducing better sleep patterns (for baby and you!) the advantages of this course are many. See below a baby massage class with Caroline as featured on Ireland AM. You can see Caroline’s interview below or click here.

The benefits for the baby include stimulation, relaxation, pain relief, and interaction/bonding. It is wonderful for colic, constipation, and wind, it aids in deeper and longer sleep, relieves stress and anxiety after birth and it encourages a deep bond between baby and parent.

For mums and dads it is a great way to learn more about your baby’s yes and no cues, it increases your confidence in handling and comforting your baby, reduces stress and most importantly it allows you to bond with and nurture your baby while having fun!

The classes are broken down into one hour sessions over a four week period. Each week we cover a different part of your baby’s body, whilst having discussions on relevant topics. It’s a great way to meet other parents and share ideas and stories. Dads are very welcome.

Mum & Baby Yoga

Mum and Baby Yoga classes are for women who have given birth recently and are looking for a fun and relaxed yoga class where they can bring their baby along too. The classes help Mums to gently ease back into shape, get a great stretch and have fun with their baby. It is also very social, where you can listen to other Mums advice and tips, learn some yoga for you and your baby and start to strengthen your pelvic floor and stomach muscles and relieve tension in your back.

You don’t need to bring anything with you, just wear comfortable clothes. Come after you and your baby’s six week check up and let your GP know you are attending the classes.

We also provide a wonderful Mum and Baby Barre class with our sister company The Yoga Barre, which is a little bit more active than yoga.

Postnatal Barre

What is Mum & Baby Barre?

This is an active and energising class perfect from 10-12 weeks postnatal, where the new mum comes with her baby to get a full body workout!

What to expect?

We start off with a warm up while the babies are on the mats, car seats or in slings. We then use hand weights to tone the upper body, go to the barre for lots of work on strengthening the back, bum, waist and legs while stretching and opening up the shoulders, hips and lower back! At this stage Caroline keeps the pace up to keep the class going, while keeping an eye on the babies! We finish the class with focus on the core, tummy and back muscles. The class works, think the babies must love Caroline’s music!

We would always recommend you get the go ahead from your GP before any postnatal exercise, no previous experience necessary to join.

“It’s hard to believe that I have been coming to Carolins classes for 6 years! I was hooked from very early on, she is an incredible instructor!

I love Carolines classes because no matter how stressed or tired I am, I come leave class feeling centred, stronger and in much better form. Carolines great energy and positive vibes make the class very fun. You feel the burn as you sweat, stretch and strengthen to energize your entire body. A big plus for me is carolines killer playlists, the perfect tunes when you are pushing your body to its limits”

“The Yoga Barre class was great! Caroline’s enthusiasm really encourages you to get moving and energise yourself for the rest of the day! The stretches are great for loosening out all the tight muscles and relieving aches you might have from carrying your little bump around! The relaxation at the end, provides a few minutes of absolute bliss!”
- Sarah
“Both myself and baby Ted thoroughly enjoyed Caroline’s baby massage classes. For me it was something I looked forward to every week and a chance to meet other mums and babies during lockdown. Ted loved the interaction and massage time which we now do as part of his bedtime routine and he is definitely more settled after it – he sleeps all night and definitely does less fussing when we spend dedicated time on bath&baby massage in the evening!”
- Amanda
“I have done pregnancy yoga with Caroline in person on my first pregnancy, and I’m currently  online with my second. I have also done by mum and baby yoga and barre classes both in person and online. I can’t recommend Caroline highly enough. Her classes are fun, professional, energetic, pitched just right to my ability whether it has been while pregnant, post natal or otherwise. The online classes are great for busy mums picking up whenever (and wherever!!), whereas the classes in person were an amazing place to meet like minded mums/friends who I have kept at my side closely in the class and outside. I felt ready for my active birth after completing her antenatal class with my husband filled with positive affirmations, relaxing movements and breathing techniques!”
Rachel
“For me Caroline’s yoga classes- Healthy mind in a healthy body! My 4th year with her yoga classes it’s a pleasure having Caroline as a teacher. I’ve learned techniques during pregnancy yoga classes online which helped to have an easy delivery and quick recovery. Love Yoga Barre and can’t wait to be back! Thank you Caroline!”
